Sunday Morning Worship Service
10:02 AM @ The Hartfield YMCA Classroom Building
Why does service start at 10:02 AM?
Our Sunday service starts at 10:02 AM in reference to Luke 10:2 - "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." We collectively pray as a church family, no matter where we are, every day at 10:02 AM, for God to send workers into the harvest. It just made sense for 10:02 to also be our service start time.
What is the service like?
We aim for our worship services to be reverent, joyful, and a blessing to every Christian. Those wanting to learn more about Christianity will also find our services to be welcoming and accessible. We sing songs in familiar styles, we pray the Lord's prayer, and share announcements. We listen to the Word preached passage-by-passage at times, and topically at times. We place an emphasis on practical application of the Scriptures.
Our services are about an hour and a half long. We start at 10:02 and end by 11:30.
Do you offer kids' ministry?
Children of all ages are welcome at the Salt Church services. We intentionally keep children with their parents during service as we believe that family worship is important and that parents are primarily responsible for the discipleship of their children. We believe that children should be watching their parents worship Jesus and receive His Word. This teaches children how to listen, worship, and receive instruction from the Word for themselves. We do have a nursery room where parents can take babies and toddlers who might become distracting during service.
What should I wear?
Dress comfortably. You'll see jeans, shorts, dresses, and khakis on an average Sunday.
